Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) Exam Review Course

CGMA is the most widely held management accounting designation in the world with more than 150,000 designees.  It was established in 2012 by the AICPA and CIMA to recognise a unique group of management accountants who have reached the highest benchmark of quality and competence. The CGMA designation is built on extensive global research to maintain the highest relevance with employers and develop the competencies most in demand. CGMA designation holders qualify through rigorous education, exam and experience requirements.

The CGMA designation elevates the profession of management accounting and showcases your value around the world. To obtain the CGMA designation through the AICPA, qualified candidates must pass the CGMA exam, meet the experience requirements and be a member of AICPA.

The CGMA exam is an integrated, comprehensive strategic case study that assesses the competencies required in today’s business environment. Candidates are required to apply theoretical and practical knowledge to a real-world scenario in order to demonstrate their ability to guide business decisions.

During the three-hour exam, candidates will be presented with multiple tasks related to the business case. Along with the tasks, new information will change the business scenario and require candidates to adapt their answers. This will require a knowledge of strategic financial management, business strategy, and enterprise risk management. It will also require the need to demonstrate business judgement, people skills and finance leadership skills. Overall, the exam will test one’s ability to rise to the position of CFO.
