The concept of the batphone is that the hardware is all hidden so if a car parked next to mine has the same gear, but a less discrete install, then my car won’t be the one broken into.
Also it just looks cleaner.

Sam Kass invented this game and it was broadcast on Big Bang Theory recently.
“I invented this game (with Karen Bryla) because it seems like when you know someone well enough, 75-80% of any Rock-Paper-Scissors games you play with that person end up in a tie. Well, here is a slight variation that reduces that probability. (Note that for those of you who like to swing your fist back and forth and say, “Rock, Paper, Scissors, GO!”, might want to continue to do that, replacing “Rock” with “One,” “Paper” with “Two,” and “Scissors” with “Three.”) This version is also nice because it satisfies the Law of Fives.”, Sam Kass.

It appears that recently there is a method for if you already have the 2.2.1 firmware installed and are wanting to update it from a windows machine.
There are concerns that ‘faulty’ methods (some accidental and some intentional) are available and will not ‘jailbreak’ your phone but actually just break it… forever.
I found this video which includes instructions on Downloading the 2.2.1 firmware and editing it before actually installing.
I haven’t tried it yet but am still considering it for the ‘cool factor’.
